HIS OWN WORDS
"A short afternoon walk to Bridal Veil view lookout, a local waterfall, to do some panoramas using long exposures 2-10s. As I was about to pack up a large flock of 120 or so cockatoos came up the gully from the main Jamison Valley, stopping on trees and flocking almost tag like moving in stop start swarm. My camera was set for the previous shot but I took a few anyway and the result was very cool. You can see 2 seconds of their flight, each flap recorded subtly, almost like ghost birds that still fly up that gully each day at the same time." ~Gary P Hayes Photography, Blue Mountains Australia (April 2014)
"Around each corner a promised greener pasture, but be careful not to miss the vista staring you right in the face." ~Gary P. Hayes (October 2014)
"Sometimes it's just too much. At 6am I saw the sky developing, a pre-dawn display, but events got the better of me and I left late. A big valley destination in mind, but looking in the rear view mirror, just after setting off, the sky lit up so pulled over to the side of the local lake and got mobbed by ducks. But there is tranquility here." ~Gary P. Hayes on Photography
"The most important Nation in the world is 'Imagination'" ~Gary P. Hayes
